Introduction

Hello, I am Sangeetha. I completed my Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) and started my career in a small company. Unfortunately, the role offered limited opportunities for growth and learning, leaving me unsatisfied and unfulfilled.

A Turning Point

Then, I discovered a vacancy for a teaching position. Initially, I assumed it was a typical tuition center, but upon visiting the center, I was amazed. It was a completely different environment where language was taught joyfully and effectively. I was fascinated by the innovative teaching methods and quickly grew to love my new role.

Embracing the Role of Action Researcher

Now, despite my limited experience, I am proud to call myself an Action Researcher, a title bestowed upon me by my mentors, Ragher Sir and Sirisha Ma'am. Hearing this title always reminds me that I am on the right path and motivates me to strive for excellence. This place has become a haven where I learn and teach students.

My Experience with Innovative Teaching Methods

Implicit Teaching : This approach has been incredibly inspiring and effective.

Registering and Eliciting : Our methods are unique compared to traditional teaching approaches.

No Forced Learning : We encourage students to learn naturally, without pressure.

Scaffolding : This new teaching method has proven to be highly effective.

Beyond Rote  Learning: We avoid rote learning and focus on meaningful understanding.

Comprehension: A vital part of our teaching strategy, ensuring students truly grasp the material.

Joyful Learning : Students learn quickly and happily through our methods.

Wider Perspectives : Working with students encourages us to think more broadly and creatively.

Flexibility : We adapt our methods if they are not working, always seeking improvement.

Long-Term Memory : Our goal is to create lasting knowledge, not just short-term retention.

Principle of Self-Learning : We guide students to learn independently through questions and activities.

Skill-Based Activities : All activities are designed to develop specific skills.

Tailored Assessments : Students are assessed based on their individual levels, not a one-size-fits-all approach.

Joyful English : We do not rely on traditional textbooks, but rather on our unique book, "Joyful English."

Purpose : Our aim is to help students acquire language in joyful and effective ways.

Conclusion

This innovative approach to teaching has made my journey as an Action Researcher incredibly rewarding. It is a place where both students and teachers thrive, learning and growing together.
