Introduction : Life often takes unexpected turns, and my journey from freelancing in cosmetics to teaching children is one such story. It all began when I met two exceptional educators whose methods and philosophy changed my perspective on teaching forever.
Discovering the Passion: As a freelancer in cosmetics, I enjoyed my work but found that it didn't provide enough financial stability for my family. Teaching had always been a hidden interest, but it wasn't until I met Sir and Ma'am that I realized its true potential. Their unique approach to teaching left me in awe. Could someone really teach like that ?
A Spark of Inspiration: A statement by Sri Aurobindo, "Nothing can be taught," resonated with me deeply, though I was initially skeptical. How could children learn without being explicitly taught? Observing Sir and Ma'am's classes, I began to see the truth in this philosophy.
Stepping into the Classroom: With their guidance, I started conducting classes for children. It wasn't as complicated as I had feared. Despite initial nervousness, I soon found joy in teaching. Seeing the children learn and grow brought immense satisfaction.
Learning from Experience: Every day was a learning experience. I picked up new English terms and enjoyed a stress-free, friendly work environment. Our method of implicit learning, where children learn without realizing it, proved to be highly effective.
Continuous Growth: I'm far from perfect in teaching, but every day brings new lessons and ideas. It's just the beginning of my learning journey.
Challenges and Reflections: One challenge I face is staying conscious while teaching. Despite being aware of its importance, I struggle to maintain it consistently. Nevertheless, I continue to work on this aspect.
Skill-Based Activities: Every activity we give the children is skill-based, ensuring they develop essential skills naturally.
Conclusion: My journey into teaching has been filled with challenges, learning, and joy. It's a path I never anticipated, but one I am grateful for every day. Here's to continuous growth and making a positive impact on young minds
